In the Rosala Viking Centre you can experience Finland living the end of its Iron Age, the mythical Viking Age. 

Bengtskär is the tallest lighthouse in Scandinavia, and its massive stone walls have witnessed some of the most dramatic events in Finland’s history. On climbing the tower and reaching the top, you’re awarded with a stunning view of the sea.

Daily tours from June 1st to Aug 31st 2025.

Departure from Kasnäs via Rosala every day at 10.30. Duration approximately 6,5-7 hours.

The cruise price is from 77 € / person, 39,50 € for children 4-14 years. Price includes boat transport, entrance fees, guiding and lunch (traditional fish soup, archipelago bread and coffee/tea) at the Viking Centre and guiding at Bengtskär.

You can also book the cruise from Rosala island. The price is from 55,50 € / person, 28,75 € for children 4-14 years including boat transfer from Rosala and guiding at the lighthouse.

Hotel Bengtskär - an unique experience

In the evening the island becomes a quiet oasis. Unwind on the smooth granite cliffs and enjoy the silence. The open sea and nature paints a landscape to remember. The soft steam of the wood-fired sauna embraces you. The bravest will take a dip in the sea.

The highlight of the evening is the dinner around a table of local delicacies. The sea air will lull you to sleep.

All the seven hotel rooms in Bengtskär lighthouse were previously part of the lighthouse keepers’ homes and have spectacular sea view.

Full board

The full board includes a return boat trip with other travelers from Kasnäs, guiding, meals, accommodation in the lighthouse in a private room and evening sauna.
