Archipelago Sights Route Cruise to Bengtskär and Viking Centre

Day Cruise to Bengtskär Lighthouse and Rosala Viking Centre

Experience two of the most famous attractions in the Archipelago Sea on a single excursion! The Archipelago Lighthouse Route takes you on a scenic boat trip to Bengtskär Lighthouse and Rosala Viking Centre. This unforgettable day combines breathtaking archipelago nature, maritime history and Viking heritage.

The cruise operates daily during the summer season from Kasnäs on Kimito Island.

Rosala Viking Centre – A Journey Back to the Viking Age

At Rosala Viking Centre, you will travel more than a thousand years back in time. Discover Viking Age buildings, artefacts and stories, and learn what life was like in the Archipelago Sea during the late Iron Age.

At Rosala Viking Centre, you can explore Viking daily life, trading voyages and adventures around the Baltic Sea at your own pace. The exhibitions, buildings and artefacts offer a fascinating insight into the Viking Age.

Bengtskär Lighthouse – The Tallest Lighthouse in the Nordic Countries

Rising from the outer archipelago in the middle of the open sea, Bengtskär Lighthouse is the tallest lighthouse in the Nordic countries. Its impressive granite walls have witnessed both the daily lives of lighthouse keepers and dramatic wartime events.

A climb of 252 steps leads to the top of the lighthouse, where spectacular views of the Gulf of Finland and the Archipelago Sea await.

During your visit, you will learn about the lighthouse's history, life on this remote rocky island and Bengtskär's role in Finland's maritime history.
